Is it safe to swim with a possible pilonidal cyst?

I caught a very small pilonidal cyst in my sacral area about two weeks ago, my surgeon said that since it was so small, simply plucking out all the hairs in the area, applying hyrdogen peroxide, and applying antibiotic ointment should handle the cyst. I have been doing this for about a week and a half now, is it safe for me to swim with it?
