Did Julia Stiles break up Dexter's marriage to Deborah?

The Genesis metaphor holds: women are inherently unreasonable but it is the mans fault. If he got lured away, he is to blame because the responsibility to maintain his marriage was his. Why do we (like the mythical Adam) blame the woman for what the man did?
