Can i get a sinus infection as well?

my daughter been sick for about five days with seemed to be a cold but seem to get worse so took her to the doctor today she ended up having a sinus infection. I have been sharing a fork with her. I know do not feel good got runny nose a throat killing me when swallow feels like it is inflamed and my head and all hurts to. I know infection are contagious that why give them antibiotics so i was wondering if it is possible for me to be starting to get it i woke up feeling like crap today. i been feeling better as go threw day but starting to feel bad again that getting to night time. I am considering going to the doctor even know for me just started just got plans this weekend and need to be able to go.
