Help with antibiotics for dogs?

Is 250 mg of clavamox twice a day too much for a 12lbs dog? He is taking due to an allergic reaction, apparently he ate something bad, the other one is taking a 62.5 mg, along with eye drops twice a day due to conjunctivitis Vet said it was ok but i m double checking still.
