Can I have protected sex if I have a bladder infection?

I went to the doctor today and he said that it sounds like I have a bladder infection so he prescribed me some antibiotics for it. I am on birth control so I have been using condoms because I was antibiotics for something else before.I am leaving in two days and my husband is still in the army, i would like to at least enjoy our last two nights together. So if it safe to have protected sex with a bladder infection?
